Hands on drawing

Ok. I bought the books about how to start drawing. Anyone know a good one about how to stop?
Yesterdays discoveries:
1. Graphite tint pencils are lovely to draw with.
2. There are only so many positions into which you can put and hold your own left hand withiut getting cramp.

Like your bold style - I tend to go fiddly! Maybe I should try graphite to stop me getting obsessed with detail. Think I may try your example and give drawing another go!

This all looks really promising.

Every book I've read about drawing assumes that you will never want to do anything else once you get the hang of it!

Drawing is a lifetime exercise. The more you draw the better you get and the better everything else you do gets. For a first experience you show GREAT PROMISE! You aren't fiddling. The drawings show personality, fluid movement and roundness. You are already far ahead of most.

My suggestion is to draw hands, feet, heads. Yours or others. Stay with the human form for now. Don't concentrate on how it looks. Just keep drawing. Next time you make a fabric piece you will notice a bit of a difference in how you approach the work. Bon Chance!

You drew these? And the roses? I'm seriously impressed. Why couldn't we do this at school? What were those art teachers doing if they failed to find this ability? I'm beginning to think that maybe I could go beyond doodling rigid mathematical boxes.......
